  Lamar Vernon Bennett, M.P.A.
 

School of Public Affairs and Administration

Mr. Bennett’s research interests include Performance Measurement, Public Management and Education Reform, and Social Service and Education Management.   He is currently working on a dissertation that investigates the impact of Abbott reforms on school district management and performance.  Prior to coming to Rutgers University­–Newark, Mr. Bennett studied Public Administration and Public Policy at American University in Washington DC.  Mr. Bennett is a graduate of the Eagleton Institute Government Fellows Program where he served as a constituent service aide in the office of former U.S. Senator Jon S. Corzine.  He has also worked in various capacities at a number of non-profit agencies in the Newark area.
