Career Services at Rutgers SPAA

The School of Public Affairs and Administration assists SPAA students and alumni with career planning – including job/internships searches, interviewing skills, networking opportunities, and resume and letter writing – via online resources, events, and one-on-one counseling.

Rutgers SPAA Career Services:

  • Job/Internship Opportunity Alerts: Information about job and internship opportunities is emailed regularly to SPAA students and alumni.
  • Job/Internship Listings: A database of opportunities – exclusively for SPAA students and alumni – is available online.
  • Career Planning Resources: Information on careers, occupations, pathways, organizations, and salaries along with additional career planning resources is available for exploration in-person or online.
  • Washington D.C. Internship Program: SPAA’s Washington, D.C. Internship Program offers students an opportunity to complete an eight-week, hands-on internship in a government, nonprofit, or philanthropic organization.
  • Workshops, Events & Roundtables: OCS hosts panel discussions, workshops, roundtables, and networking events – covering such topics such as interviewing skills, resume and letter writing, and salary negotiation – to help put students on the right track to meeting their career goals.
  • Mentorship Connections: OCS can put interested students in touch with alumni willing to assist students in reaching their career goals.
