Center for Technology Leadership

With technology playing a greater role in every aspect of public administration, there is a corresponding need to understand technology from a leadership perspective. The Center for Technology Leadership was formed to provide a special focus on the growing need for higher levels of technology leadership development from public managers at every level of government, both domestic and international.

The center is designed to provide elected leaders, technology practitioners and academics with a variety of educational programs, information-sharing opportunities, and leading practices from the field. These activities include:

  • A free monthly newsletter called Technology Leadership Matters
  • Publish cutting-edge e-books and print-copy books, articles, and monographs that look at both the “thought-leadership” aspect of public technology initiatives, and emerging trends and practices;
  • Conduct e-Governance Surveys (Global and Domestic U.S.);
  • Identify and promote best practices for technology leadership in government through webinars, articles, surveys, and awards and recognition programs.

The Center for Technology Leadership was created through SPAA's strategic partnership with the Public Technology Institute (PTI).
