Cynthia Golembeski has research, policy, and advocacy experience directly related to improving the health and well being of vulnerable populations. Overall, her work within governmental, academic, and nonprofit contexts has primarily focused on violence prevention, criminal justice reform, HIV/AIDS, and health equity. She has previously worked in South Africa.

Golembeski is Second Vice President of the New Jersey Public Health Association, active with Everytown for Gun Safety Essex County, and modestly engaged in community service within Newark and surrounding communities.
