Registration

For Academic Credit Registration Process

Once you have submitted the application and have been admitted, you may register for classes. However, please first access the Online Schedule of Classes to determine if courses still have space availability (if open or closed).

Register for courses online using Rutgers WEBREG. This service is available to all students at the University. Students with prerequisites, time conflicts, and maximum credit override problems must add courses in person at the Registrars Office. All limitations that might prevent you from registering using RTTRS (Rutgers Touchtone Registration System) will prevent you from using Webreg also. The Webreg website can be found at: http://webreg.rutgers/edu.

Login using your 9-digit Rutgers ID.  Your Personal Access Code (PAC) is the first four digits of your birthday (ex. September 5th birthday = 0905 PAC code).

Term bills may be paid online at www.studentabc.rutgers.edu one day following registration.

If you have any problems registering for a course, please contact Gail Daniels at 973-353-1122 or by e-mail at gaild@andromeda.rutgers.edu.

Non-credit Registration Process

Course Payment

To pay for a certificate course please visit the School of Public Affairs and Administration's storefront at:

https://spaanwk.scholarchip.com

Registration for each course closes several days before the start of the course in order to allow time for processing.

You will need to create an account in order to proceed with your payment for a certificate course. Signing up for an account is FREE, and the information is covered by our privacy policy. To do so, hover over "Log In" in the blue bar and choose "Register." Since this is a new payment system, you will have to create a new account. You can not use the account that you created on ncpp.us.

Use the menu at left to choose your course, add the course to your cart, and follow the payment process.

Blackboard (Bb)

Online courses are held via Blackboard, http://blackboard.newark.rutgers.edu, an online a course management system used to extend the learning environment outside the classroom.

After your payment is processed, you will receive an ID and password for Blackboard. If you do not receive an ID and password for Blackboard within a week of paying, contact ncpp@andromeda.rutgers.edu

You will continue to use this Blackboard ID and password for any additional courses throughout your program. You will NOT receive a new Blackboard ID and password each time you register for a course.

After logging in to Blackboard, you will see a list of the available courses in which you are currently enrolled under the "My Organizations Plus" section – by default, the bottom box in the left column of boxes – once the instructor has made the courses available. Click on the title of the course to access course-specific information under the "Organizations in which you are participating" heading.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR COURSE: You may not see your course(s) right away, since, by default, all classes are "Unavailable," which means the instructors can get into the course site, but students cannot. Courses are typically made "Available" by the instructor a day or two before the course begins, but sometimes not until the day the course starts. ADDITIONALLY: you will not instantaneously be able to see your course once you have paid. The system needs time to process your payment and place you into the course.

NCPP certificate courses will appear under the "My Organizations Plus" section and NOT the "My Courses" section. The "My Courses" section will most likely say "You are currently not enrolled in any courses" since this is NOT where the NCPP certificate classes appear.

If you have any difficulty using Blackboard, please contact the Newark Computing Services (NCS) Help Desk at 973-353-5083 or help@newark.rutgers.edu. Please identify yourself as a certificate student with the National Center for Public Performance at the School of Public Affairs and Administration when requesting assistance from NCS.
