  About the program

The doctor of philosophy program in public administration trains prospective faculty, researchers, and public sector leaders. Before enrolling, applicants must have received an M.P.A. degree or other relevant master`s degrees. In addition to public administration, the Ph.D. program considers applicants holding advanced degrees from a variety of degree areas, including political science, social work, education, law, or public health.

Can I attend your doctoral program full-time while working elsewhere part-time or full-time?
No.  By accepting admission as full-time doctoral students, applicants commit themselves not to take or continue paid employment, even self-employment, outside the university.  Our faculty have the highest standards of performance at the doctoral level, and in order to meet those standards, full-time students must really study full-time.
