Graduate Profile: Meril Antony (MPA '17)

Hometown: Delhi, India
Degree program: Master of Public Administration

Why did you enroll at SPAA?
Before enrolling at SPAA, my experience in the public sector has been to observe and research on whether public policies were successfully implemented. However, I always felt a gap in my understanding on how we can improve the policies in place. SPAA offered me a unique opportunity to study, not only the different policies in place, but the different strategies and factors associated with a successful formulation and implementation. It offered the practitioner's approach to solving issues, while imparting the required skillsets, through SPAA's esteemed faculty, thus helping me to step foot in the public-sector arena.

What do you hope to accomplish with your degree?
With my MPA degree, I hope to bring the best practices from public administration research and global practice into the growing civil society in India and other parts of the developing world.
