Rutgers SPAA Panel Examines The Future of Human Resources
On April 10, Rutgers SPAA hosted a panel presentation with SPAA alumni who serve as leaders in their organizations to discuss human resources post-COVID-19 as part of Rutgers SPAA’s 15th anniversary celebration and the 75th anniversary of Rutgers University–Newark.
The panelists included Marsha Acheampong (MPA’17), youth program director, City of Newark; Ashley Alvarez (BA’16), recruiter, Riverside Medical Group; Natasha Hemmings (MPA’16), CEO, Girl Scouts Heart of NJ; and Cathy Plymel (BA'16, MPA’17) COO, Boys & Girls Club of Newark. Dr. Michael Dillard (MPA’10), assistant teaching professor, moderated the session.
The panel touched upon the experiences of the SPAA alumni, the successes and challenges they faced, and how their organizations continue to be socially responsible during the covid-19 pandemic.
