Join Rutgers Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Development and Rutgers SPAA Office of Community Engagement for Reimagining Democracy: Justice, Reentry & Community Voice Through Film, an evening of film and dialogue exploring issues of incarceration, reentry, and community voice.

The program will feature a screening of the documentary “A Woman on the Outside,” followed by a moderated discussion with the film’s producer, Kiara C. Jones, and representatives from New Jersey Scholarship and Transformative Education in Prisons (NJ STEP). Together, we will reflect on the role of storytelling, lived experience, and education in shaping more just and inclusive communities.

This event is part of Rutgers-Newark’s Solving Grand Challenges Month and is presented in partnership with the Rutgers Democracy Lab.
