Black History Month Event: "The Birth of a Movement" Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion

In recognition of Black History Month, the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) and the Rutgers Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Center (TRHT) are screening "The Birth of a Movement," a documentary that discusses D.W. Griffith's KKK-friendly "The Birth of a Nation" that opened in 1915 to big audiences all over the country and was even shown by President Wilson in the White House. The showing of the documentary will be followed by a panel discussion and questions from the audience.
