SPAA MPA Student Ana Olivera Chosen for ARNOVA's 2021 Graduate Diversity Scholars and Leaders Professional Development Program
SPAA MPA student Ana Olivera (BA'21) was chosen for the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action's (ARNOVA) 2021 Graduate Diversity Scholars and Leaders Professional Development Program. The award came with a scholarship and complimentary attendance to ARNOVA's 50th annual conference in Atlanta, GA, where she participated in specialized workshops and programming.
"As a graduate scholar, I was able to actively participate in the conference commenting and listening to presentations that touched on nonprofit, public administration, and philanthropy," said Olivera. "I also had the opportunity to network with scholars in the public administration and nonprofit realm which I am looking to focus on in my own PhD studies after graduating with my master's."
ARNOVA's Graduate Diversity Scholars and Leaders Professional Development Program focuses on helping emerging scholars from underrepresented groups prepare to enter the field of nonprofit, philanthropic, and voluntary action studies.
