RU-N Debate Team Presents Demonstration Debate on Collaboration Day

The Rutgers University–Newark Debate Team presented a demonstration debate for SPAA's Collaboration Day on Oct. 9 on the topic: "How can the U.S. more effectively address political disinformation within the context of the First Amendment?"

The debate format was:

• 1st Team Presentation: 4 minutes
• 2nd Team Presentation: 4 minutes
• Crossfire: 3 minutes (both first presenters ask questions)
• 1st Team Rebuttal speech: 3 minutes
• 2nd Team Presentation: 3 minutes
• Grand Crossfire: 4 minutes (everyone can ask questions)
• 1st Team Final Focus: 2 minutes
• 2nd Team final Focus: 2 minutes
