Dr. Diane Hill Honored with 2024 Community Service Award of Excellence from Odyssey International Productions
Dr. Diane Hill, assistant professor of professional practice at the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA), will be honored with the Community Service Award of Excellence from Odyssey International Productions (IP) at their Award Gala on Nov. 22 at The Newark Museum of Art.
"The award celebrates her unwavering dedication to building bridges and uplifting our communities, inspiring us all to make a lasting impact," according to the organization.
Odyssey IP has been recognizing the efforts and accomplishments of individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of their communities and small businesses for more than twenty-five years at the Odyssey International Productions Annual Awards Ceremony.
Dr. Hill's research interests include advancing community engagement in higher education, with special emphasis on university-community partnerships in urban universities, school-based youth college and career development and engagement demonstration models, and community-based participatory research. At Rutgers SPAA, Dr. Hill teaches courses that help with "Building Bridges to the Community." She is also co-director of the Center for Health Equity and Community Engagement (CHECE). In addition, she is assistant chancellor for the Office of University-Community Partnerships (OUCP) at Rutgers University–Newark.
