Dr. Charles E. Menifield Honored with Prestigious 2024 Philip J. Rutledge Social Equity Leadership Award

Dr. Charles E. Menifield, University Professor at the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Philip J. Rutledge Social Equity Leadership Award. This award, conferred by the Social Equity in Governance panel of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), recognizes Dr. Menifield’s commitment to social equity and justice. As a faculty member as well as former dean of SPAA, Dr. Menifield worked assiduously to foster diversity through faculty, research, and student networks. He has helped to create a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals of all backgrounds, and his research continues to promote the significance of social equity and justice throughout our society. The award was presented to Dr. Menifield at the 2024 Social Equity Leadership Conference at the University of Connecticut on June 20, 2024.
