Rutgers-Newark and Zhejiang Gongshang University Schools Sign MOU to Strengthen Ties and Work Toward Future Academic Partnerships

Delegations from Rutgers University–Newark and Zhejiang Gongshang University in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China came together in Newark, NJ on Nov. 20 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen ties between the two institutions. With the signed MOU, the future establishment of partnership agreements for academic exchange or cooperation, particularly between the Yingxian School of Philanthropy at Zhejiang Gongshang University and the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at RU-N, will take place. The parties will now explore potential collaboration and cooperation between relevant departments and schools across both universities so as to facilitate the exchange of students and faculty in related fields; the exchange of documentation and research materials; coordination in joint or collaborative research projects, workshops, conferences, or educational programming; and the development of a 3+2 degree program, where students will study at and earn degrees from both institutions.
