NEWARK, NJ — Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) Assistant Teaching Professor Rachel Emas has been appointed as the Managing Editor of Global Virtue Ethics Review (GVER). The journal addresses the specific area of virtue ethics for public and nonprofit professionals. As the world moves to a more global society in which virtue ethics is of increasing importance, this publication explores how ethics can be enhanced to upgrade the quality of professional organizations. Dr. Emas joined Rutgers SPAA in January 2016 and coordinates the GEO•MPA Program, the first digitally based, global executive degree program geared toward public and nonprofit leaders. Her research regards sustainability and sustainable development policy, and she has been published in the Green Labor Journal numerous times, as well as other outlets. Dr. Emas also serves as the Executive Director of the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA), and is an active participant in the International Institute of Administrative Sciences and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration.
