Roberto Muñiz, MPA'90

For over 25 years, Roberto Muñiz has dedicated his career to the nonprofit sector, serving as president and CEO of Parker Health Group – a charitable organization committed to serving older adults. Under his leadership, Parker has grown to serve more than 10,000 older adults and their families each year. His major accomplishments include partnering with VNA Health Group to launch the Parker Advanced Care Institute, which provides older adults with access to visiting physician services. More recently, he was instrumental in creating the Parker Health Group Division of Geriatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a senior health fellow and professor at Rutgers Bloustein School (New Brunswick) and a proud graduate of SPAA's Master of Public Administration program. He was awarded SPAA's 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award for Practitioner Excellence which is awarded to Rutgers SPAA Alumni for outstanding achievement in public administration and public service through applied practice in the field.
