The Richard W. Roper Undergraduate Scholarship in Civic Responsibility provides internship funding (up to $2,500) to undergraduate students in good academic and judicial standing at Rutgers University–Newark. All applicants must have secured a paid or non-paid internship placement at a public service, public affairs, public policy, not-for-profit, community-based, educational or government organization.
Eligibility and Submission Criteria
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at Rutgers University–Newark (all majors are eligible)
- Must be in good academic standing (GPA 2.5 or better)
- Must complete 120 hours of work at their internship location (and, must have an internship agency secured)
- Students on F1/J1 status must check with Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISS) for eligibility criteria
