This course examines AI as a regulatory and compliance domain, focusing on statutory authority, delegated rulemaking power, regulatory design, compliance architectures, audit mechanisms, enforcement tools, and judicial oversight. Students analyze legislative texts, executive orders, agency guidance, and enforcement cases to understand how AI regulation is structured, interpreted, and operationalized in practice. Particular attention is given to risk-based classification systems, sector-specific regulatory approaches, administrative procedure, and standards of review.
