Denise Palmisano

Denise Palmisano is director of the Certified Public Manager (CPM) program in the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark. She brings 29 years of distinguished public service experience, having retired as a captain from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division in 2024. A certified instructor through the New Jersey Police Training Commission for over two decades, she has led instruction in physical training and professional development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a proud graduate of the CPM program through Rutgers SPAA. She also previously served as a member of the CPM Advisory Board.
