Mauricio Astudillo-Rodas, MPP
Mauricio Astudillo-Rodas is a doctoral candidate in the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark. His research combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to problems of human resources administration in public agencies vis-à-vis transparency and accountability, the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and social equity and inclusion. His dissertation employs a sequential mixed-method approach that examines public servants' attitudes on transparency and accountability when using ICT tools in the workplace. Before his academic career, he worked in the local government in Colombia, which influenced his interest in understanding salient practical problems that could support better managerial decisions.
