Natasha Hemmings is chief executive officer for the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) and is the first African American woman in the council’s history to lead the organization. As CEO, she holds the most senior leadership role with significant strategic and supervisory responsibilities for the second largest Girl Scout Council in the state. She was inducted into the Rutgers African American Alumni Alliance (RAAA) Hall of Fame in 2021 and received the 2023 SPAA Sharon Stroye Community Service Award for outstanding contributions to the community through time, actions, talents, and dedication. She also serves as a part-time lecturer for Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration.
