On the Job Market Fall 2024: SPAA PhD Candidate Jinah Yoo

Jinah Yoo's research focuses on public management, including performance management, citizen-state interactions, and local government management. She is committed to enhancing the social and democratic accountability of public service delivery through effective public management. Her dissertation, Three Essays on Public Performance Management: Citizen Judgments, Employee Evaluation, and Performance Feedback, examines performance management practices in public service organizations. She received the 2024 Student Paper Award (third place) from the American Society for Public Administration's Section on Korean Public Administration (SKPA) for her paper, "How Relative Performance Information Affects Citizens' Perceptions and Attitudes: Do Reference Points Matter?"
