Jinah Yoo, MPA
Jinah Yoo is a doctoral candidate in the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark. Her research focuses on public management, including performance management, citizen-state interactions, and local government management. She is committed to enhancing the social and democratic accountability of public service delivery through effective public management. Her dissertation, Three Essays on Public Performance Management: Citizen Judgments, Employee Evaluation, and Performance Feedback, examines performance management practices in public service organizations. The three essays explore (1) how citizens interpret and judge performance metrics, (2) how employee evaluations differ between public and private sector workplaces, and (3) how health centers respond to performance feedback.
