On the Job Market Fall 2024: SPAA PhD Candidate Ying Liu
Ying Liu's research interests include public and nonprofit management, social equity, human resource management, local government, and citizen-government interactions. Her dissertation Hidden Figures: Four Essays on Women’s Representation and Its Bureaucratic Outcomes examines the relationship between women's representation and bureaucratic outcomes in four aspects: human resource practices, organizational performance and responsiveness, budgeting decision-making, and citizen-government interactions. Recently, she attended the Oxford-Penn Social Impact Fellows Program and she was selected as the 2023 Scholarship Award winner in the PhD student category from the Section for Women in Public Administration (SWPA) of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).
