SPAA Hosts the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia for Discussion on International Public Affairs Issues

On May 2nd, the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) hosted the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the United States, Daniel García-Peña. Dean Kaifeng Yang exchanged ideas about international cooperation, foreign policy and public affairs with Ambassador García-Peña. Later, Ambassador García-Peña offered a presentation about Colombian foreign policy, diplomacy and the key partnership between Colombia and the United States, touching on issues such as migration, trade, drug policy, climate change, among others.

The visit was coordinated by SPAA Assistant Professor Ricardo Bello-Gomez jointly with the Colombian Consulate in Newark (led by Consul María del Pilar Cruz) as part of the activities of the Research on Governance in Latin America (ReGLA) group at Rutgers SPAA.
