Wednesday, June 17, 2020 marks the fifth annual Rutgers Giving Day

On Rutgers Giving Day, SPAA alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends join together in a 24-hour fundraising event to give back to programs that empower students to make change in the world.

Support the Public and Nonprofit Leaders of Tomorrow

This Giving Day, your support of the SPAA Student Ambassador Program will allow students to pursue hands-on leadership opportunities and professional development activities that equip them with the knowledge and skills to successfully lead public and nonprofit organizations.

The SPAA Student Ambassador Program is a multi-level leadership opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students who subscribe to the values of competence, diversity, knowledge, ethics, and service. SPAA Ambassadors represent the School of Public Affairs and Administration in a variety of activities – including admissions, public engagement, and marketing initiatives – and participate in professional development opportunities.

• Participate in the Daylong Social Media Scarlet Challenge – Use the hashtags #RUGivingDay #RutgersSPAA #Ambassadors4SPAA to spread the word about the SPAA Student Ambassador Program and for a chance to win additional funds for the program.
  • Scarlet Challenge: Share your Rutgers stories and images of impact, hope, opportunity, access — and whatever else makes you proud of your Rutgers connections. When you do, your post may be one of 20 selected to award $250 to your favorite fund.
    For your post to be tracked, follow these instructions:
    1. Make your post public.
    2. Use #RUGivingDay.
    3. Mention the Rutgers area to you’d like to win award money (#RutgersSPAA #Ambassadors4SPAA).
    4. If posting on Facebook, tag the Rutgers University Alumni Association.
• Participate in Hourly and Daylong Giving Challenges - These challenges offer opportunities to provide additional funds for your favorite Rutgers causes.
