Bio
Yong-Chan Rhee's research interests include public management, criminal justice, racial disparities, the relationship between leadership and street-level bureaucrats, social inequality, and disinformation and information management. He is the recipient of SPAA's Outstanding PhD Student Award (2024) as well as COMPA's Second Prize of "Best Paper Award" (2023 and 2022); NASPAA's Pi Alpha Alpha Doctoral Manuscript Award (2023); NASPAA's Best Dissertation Award (2024); and the Review of Public Personnel Administration (ROPPA) Best Paper Award (2025) for “Reexamination of Multi-level Representation and Critical Mass: The Roles of Black Leadership and Its Relationship With Street-Level Officers in Police Killings."
