Bio

Karen Perez (BA'26) is earning her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Social Justice through the Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC). She is deeply committed to mentorship and education policy, with experience as a legislative intern for Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez. She has supported both college and high school students as a peer mentor and Career Pathways Mentor with Newark Youth Career Pathways, and currently serves as a Peer Advisor for the HLLC Mentorship Program.

She is trained in conflict mediation and dedicated to fostering inclusive communities. She also serves as a Community Service Officer with the Rutgers University Police Department and holds leadership roles as Vice President and Treasurer of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Phi Chapter. She is committed to advocating for underserved communities and ensuring equitable access to resources so all individuals can thrive.
