Second Concentration: Accelerated MPA
Undergraduate students at Rutgers-Newark must complete an 18-credit second concentration within the 120 total credits required for an undergraduate degree.
The Accelerated MPA (BA/MPA or BS/MPA) as a second concentration is an undergraduate concentration that allows qualified students to take 18 out of 42 credits of the MPA degree as an undergraduate student.

Eligibility for Second Concentration
Students must:
- have completed at least 75 undergraduate credits
- maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.000 or higher
- be a matriculated undergraduate student at a school on the Rutgers-Newark campus
- submit an application before taking Accelerated MPA classes
- set up a meeting with Rutgers SPAA's assistant dean for undergraduate programs before submitting an application
