Denise Palmisano Joins Rutgers SPAA as Director of Certified Public Manager Program

Denise Palmisano (CPM'16) has joined the School of Public Affairs and Administration
(SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark as the director of the Certified Public
Manager Program starting in August 2025, following the retirement of Jane
Sharp (EMPA’10).

Palmisano brings 29 years of distinguished public service experience to Rutgers SPAA, having retired as a captain from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division in 2024. A certified instructor through the New Jersey Police Training Commission for over two decades, she has led instruction in physical training and professional development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a proud graduate of the CPM program through Rutgers SPAA. She also previously served as a member of the CPM Advisory Board.
