Wednesday, March 23, 2022 marks the seventh annual Rutgers Giving Day
On Rutgers Giving Day, SPAA alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends join together in a 24-hour fundraising event to give back to programs that empower students to make change in the world.

The SPAA Student Ambassador Program is a multi-level leadership opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students who subscribe to the values of competence, diversity, knowledge, ethics, and service. SPAA Ambassadors represent the School of Public Affairs and Administration in a variety of activities – including admissions, public engagement, and marketing initiatives – and participate in professional development opportunities.
As an ambassador, MPA student Rosslin Mensah-Boateng is adding value to her Rutgers–Newark experience by connecting with peers who also seek to build leadership skills, network, and support each other. “Your financial support enables us to provide more programming and events to hone the skills of future leaders in local government, nonprofit organizations, and agencies, especially in a time when genuine and consistent leadership is key,” she says. - Participate in Hourly and Daylong Giving Challenges: These challenges offer opportunities to provide additional funds for your favorite Rutgers causes. Use the hashtags #RUGivingDay and #RutgersSPAA to spread the word about the SPAA Student Ambassador Program and for a chance to win additional funds for the program.
- Challenges will take place throughout the day and can be found on the Rutgers Giving Day website.
- Participate in RU-N Campus Student Activities:
- Student Mascot Sighting Challenge: Students can win a prize pack and funds to earmark for their favorite cause by taking a picture with RU-N's mascot and posting it to their social media accounts - use #RUGivingDay and #RutgersSPAA. 10 posters will be selected to win.
- Student Scavenger Hunt: Consists of two 2' x 2' block Rs that will allow students to dedicate funds to a Rutgers cause they're passionate about.
