Leadership of Public Organizations Certificate
The 9-credit graduate Leadership of Public Organizations Certificate program offered by the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark provides pre-career and in-career students with advanced graduate studies in leadership and management within public organizations. This concentrated area focuses on leadership and management topics including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), management and leadership techniques, and a comprehensive review of all local, state, and federal policies that govern employment and employment practices.

Courses identified with an asterisk symbol (*) are considered elective courses within SPAA's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. After receiving the certificate, certificate courses can be counted toward the completion of the MPA program.
