PSRPanel – FAQs
Who we are:
PSRPanel is a project at the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA), Rutgers University–Newark, NJ, USA. The project is directed by SPAA Professor Gregg Van Ryzin. Graduate students and staff at Rutgers SPAA help run the project.
PSRPanel is a university-affiliated, nonprofit project funded by a grant from Rutgers University and other resources. Grants and sponsorships support all general operating costs of the project. Contributions and co-sponsorships are always welcome. Please contact psrpanel@rutgers.edu
Becoming a panelist:
Anyone who is working with a government agency or nonprofit organization can become a panelist. MPA or other students planning a career in public service are also welcome to join.
We encourage you to become a panelist, even if you do not live in the United States.
Just go to the Sign Up page on our website, complete the brief form, and click the submit button. You will then receive an email message asking you to confirm your membership. When you respond to the confirmation email, you are then added to our list.
PSRPanel sends invitations for survey or studies only about once every month or two, depending on your organization, your location, and other considerations. As a panelist, you always have the right to choose whether or not to participate in any particular survey or study.
PSRPanel surveys and studies focus on issues related to working in government and the nonprofit sector. Topics may include work experiences, decision making, technology, collaboration, organizational performance, and other topics. Our surveys are sponsored only by legitimate academic researchers. We will not send you any political, religious, or marketing surveys. And you always have the right to choose which surveys you want or don’t want to complete.
Feel free to let others who are working in the public and nonprofit sectors know about PSRPanel. (However, please do not send any unsolicited email or SPAM).
More about your privacy:
The information you provide when you sign up, or when you participate in a survey, is for research purposes only. This information is never sold or given to outside individuals or organizations. When you complete our surveys, we may collect additional demographic information from you such as age, gender, race, and income (in broad categories).
